BSE officially underway, moe.down, and more!

NWG Added to 10th annual moe.down!
We're excited to announce that NWG will be joining our good friends moe. at their annual moe.down festival in Turin, NY. Other artists include Matthew Sweet, Sam Bush, The New Mastersounds, Ominous Seapods, and The London Souls. For complete details, please check out: http://www.moe.org/moedown/

Best Summer Ever In Full Swing
We apologize for the slight delay due to some last minute contract negotiations with one of our key panel members (it seems there was a miscommunication with Mr. Dickie Waters over the exact number of cases of Schlitz in his contract for 2009). But we've got it sorted out now and BSE 2 is now officially open and ready for business. Those of you who participated last year know all about the contest, but for you noobs, please visit the dedicated forum on the boards for the complete contest details.

NWG June Residency at PRECINCT - Somerville, MA
This past Tuesday marked the 2nd round of our weekly residency at PRECNINCT in Somerville. We we're pleased to see so many familiar faces in the crowd, and are excited that we'll be back there for two more rounds later this month. Please see our tour schedule for full details, and please take special note that June 23rd is the only Tuesday NWG will not be performing at PRECINCT. That said, we look forward to seeing many of you on the 16th... that's five full days to talk it up and find that lonely friend that needs to be dragged out of the house. ;)

Who's ready for the Best Summer Ever?!

NWG on Greg and the Morning Buzz
We're excited to announce that we'll be joining Greg and the Morning Buzz on WHEB 100.3 this Thursday morning at 9 a.m. Members of the band will be in studio to perform a few tunes live and to talk about the album as well as their upcoming performance for the Rock 101 Air Show, Arms Park in Manchester on Sunday, May 24th. Be sure to check in regularly with the Tour section of our site for all the latest details on upcoming shows.

Best Summer Ever - The GameThe Best Summer Ever begins
Summer is upon us and that means its time for "Best Summer Ever" the game. We'll be officially kicking off the contest this Thursday at midnight during our set at T.T.'s in Cambridge. Those of you who participated last year know all about the contest. For you noobs who need some tutoring on how to have the most rockin' summer possible, check out the full details and official rules.

Our good friends and colleagues Moon Boot Lover along with The Release are set to join us for a pshychedelic funk-rock throwdown, featuring the killer lighting effects of Ryan Baker. This is the not-to-be-missed performance of the month.

NWG records new #1 Jam
The band was back at Waterway Studios earlier this month recording a new single to be released in the coming weeks. "Running Down" was recorded and co-produced by Andrew Gallagher, the same producer and engineer who helped us record Unbound. Our plan is to record and release a number of studio singles throughout the next year and make them available directly to our fans via our website as well as sites like iTunes. Keep in touch with our music section for the very latest official releases.

Want to help promote the band? 4 simple ways you can pitch in...
1. Become one of our fans on Facebook, and be sure to share our concert events with all your friends.
2. Email us at promo@natewilsongroup.net and join our "street team."
3. Turn friends on to the band by sending them here, to our website.
4. If you're coming out to a show, make sure you find a friend or two and insist that they come along. This is always best way to help spread the love.

Spring is here, and things are heating up.

First off, HUGE thanks to everyone who came out early to support NWG at the House of Blues earlier this month, and to those who saw the group for the first time and jumped aboard the NWG Rock Express. The response at these shows made them two of the most enjoyable performances yet.

There's a new live track being offered up for FREE download. It's a 12+ min. version of “The Long Ships” from the last show at T.T. the Bear's on 01.15.2009. Listen carefully and you can almost hear this one dude in the front yelling as his face was melting like in that scene from Raiders Of The Lost Ark (Don't worry, he's OK now). We plan on releasing more live material like this in the future, so stay tuned.

There's a bunch of sweet gigs in the pipeline for the coming months, including a return to T.T. the Bear's on May 21st with our good friends Moon Boot Lover. If you haven't had the good fortune to experience Moon Boot, you need to check these guys out! They throw down funk so stanky you think a wet dog just ran in the room, and Peter Prince's voice is so damn good that we are convinced he's an alien. This show will also feature the killer lighting effects of Ryan Baker, who some of you may have experienced at the recent show at the Dover Brick House.

On May 29th, we'll be doing our first show in Brooklyn, NY at Union Hall. We're wicked pumped for this show and the band members will all be watching The Warriors at least five times in a row to prepare. So if you think you're tough enough, come out and play. As always, check out the tour page to keep up on all the latest details.

Two nights with moe.!!

We're very pleased to announce that the group has been scheduled to open both nights at the new House of Blues Boston when moe. comes to town on April 3rd and 4th. The new venue looks gorgeous from the pics we've seen, and just the thought of how big and full the sound in this place will be has our staches tingling with glee. Check out the Tour page for full details.

The overdue 411

First off, we need to announce that our March 19th show at T.T.'s has been canceled due to a scheduling conflict. Our apologies to all the Boston folks that were planning on coming out, and please know that we're actively seeking to book another show in the area as soon as possible.

On a happier note, the group successfully completed their first ever tour of the U.S. Virgin Islands. Turns out the locals down there love mustache rock almost as much as their rum... good news for us. The guys were well-received and the outlook for a return trip next year so far looks good. Aside from some sunburn and a bit of liver damage, the group safely returned all in one piece.

Looking forward to the warmer months, the group has a number of exciting dates in the works. In addition to the beloved festival season, we're in the process right now of scheduling a 3-night stand, June 25th through 27th, with national touring act the Buffalo Killers. These guys have been tearing up the rock scene, and Nate and the guys are incredibly psyched to be on board for this New York to Boston run. Mark your calendars now, and stay tuned for updates.

And finally, the group has been getting some great press lately as the buzz surrounding Unbound continues to grow. Read what Jambands.com, Glide Magazine, the Boston Herald, JamBase, and The Pulse have had to since the release. Thanks to everyone out there taking the time to listen and share our music with others.

An action-packed weekend is upon us!

For those of you shivering Northeasterners out there trying to beat the cold, have we got some good news for you! Please join us as we heat things up with a Tri-state romp...

Jan 15th: We return to TT's in Boston with Jen Kearney & The lost Onion
Jan 16th: A night in Providence with the soulful Jesse Dee
Jan 17th: Our post-Unbound debut in New York City with our good friends Blues and Lasers (featuring three members of Grace Potter and the Nocturnals)

And if that's not enough to get your core temperature up, you might just have to join us in the US Virgin Islands!! More dates are always being added so be sure to check out the latest info in the Tour section of our website.

We'd also like to take this opportunity to properly introduce the Group's new(ish) bass player, Tommy "The Tulip" Lada. Tom has been filling in on bass for a while now whenever Nate Edgar had a scheduling conflict, and though we'll miss Mr. Edgar's righteous grooves, the personnel change needed to happen. We want to wish Nate all the best in the future with his musical endeavors. We would also like to thank him for his contributions in helping forge the band's sound, as well as his playing on the album. With that said, we couldn't be happier with how The Tulip has taken over the reigns, and rocking it oh so hard right out of the gate!

We're still in the hunt for help promoting upcoming shows. Those interested should contact us at management@natewilsongroup.net.

Thanks for your continued support, and we hope to see you out this weekend!

Happy 2009!

Lots of exciting things to report on for the new year. First, our Winter/Spring 09 tour is coming together nicely. We have 19 new dates to announce, including the following jam-packed weekend that's right around the corner...

And as if that weren't exciting enough, we follow it up with a two week run in the US Virgin Islands!! More dates are currently being added so be sure to check out the latest info in the Tour section of our website.

Our online store is now up and running so be sure and visit to pick up a copy of Unbound, or check out our latest T-shirt and poster offerings.

If you're interested in helping us spread the word and promote upcoming shows, please contact us at management@natewilsongroup.net. We're cooking up some interesting new ideas we'd like to tell you about that will not only help get the word out about the Group, but will also earn you (the fans) some awesome kickbacks.

Thanks for your continued support and best wishes in 2009!

Best Summer Ever Rewind at T.T.’s

UnboundNot only will we be celebrating the release of Unbound at the Boston show on December 3rd, but we've also designated this night as the award ceremony for the Best Summer Ever contest. At set break, we will bestow the much coveted tin foil unicorn upon the contest winner, as well as some awesome prizes for our 2nd and 3rd place finishers. Some of the best pics from the contest will be proudly displayed as well, so you don't want to miss this one!

Wrapping up and looking ahead

We're extremely pleased to report that more than 1,100 copies of Unbound have been downloaded since launching the free giveaway back on September 15th. Our excitement is only surpassed by our gratitude for everyone who took the time to listen and share... BIG heartfelt thanks to all of you.

We're also eager to tally final scores for our Best Summer Ever contest that officially wrapped up just a few short weeks ago. We received a lot of great, if not hilarious, submissions from some truly dedicated heads. To all those who participated, making our first unruly attempt at this so successful, we offer our sincerest thanks... you guys rock with a capital "M"! Check back in the coming days for a final tally and posting of our three contest winners.

Looking ahead, the Group is gearing up for a CD Release Tour which is currently scheduled to kick off November 6th at Tammany Hall. More dates will be added in the coming weeks, so check back regularly. Also, an important note: Club FELT has decided to cancel on the Boston CD Release show originally scheduled for the 7th. Apparently they're no longer fans of live music on Thursday nights, and/or we just weren't "Hollywood" enough for 'em. We know, boo hiss. But rest assured we're making every effort to reschedule, and we'll post an update as soon as we can. We apologize for the bummer, give thanks for your understanding, and above all, we pledge to rock Boston's face off before the year is out... stay tuned.

Unbound - It's here, and it's FREE

UnboundNate Wilson Group's debut studio album Unbound is now available for download. This is the only place you can currently get it, and just like we promised... the entire thing (all 9 tracks) is completely FREE!!

So for the next month the full album will be hosted here as 320 kbps MP3s, which is the highest quality allowed by the MP3 file format. Yeah we know, it's a lot, but we're so proud of this album that it just couldn't be helped.

We encourage all who are reading this to please take a listen, and spread the news if you're so inspired. The CD will be released and available for sale on October 15th, at which time these MP3s will no longer be free, and instead sold from that point forward through our online store, iTunes, and other outlets.

New album hits in 2 weeks!!

Nate Wilson Group pre-releases their debut studio album Unbound digitally on September 15th, 2008! The CD release is scheduled to follow exactly one month later on October 15th. And here's the best part... for the entire 1st month of the digital-ONLY pre-release, the entire album is completely FREE!!

No we're not nuts, but rather excited and proud, believing the single most important thing right now is for people to hear the tunes. So we're calling on all you believers already out there to (1) mark your calendars, and (2) share this message with friends and family. We won't be able to give it away forever, but hopefully a full month is enough time to get the word out. Thanks so much, and stay tuned!
